Barolo Riserva DOCG
Nebiollo 2013 Red Wine Cru
€49.45
Born in the heart of the Langhe hills, this rich and harmonious wine can be appreciated after 4-6 years of aging, but only reaches its peak after 10 years, and is still excellent even after 20 years or more.
Its " hard" properties - acidity, tannins, minerals - are well balanced with the "soft" ones - alcoholic and polyalcoholic - with the exceptional intensity and persistence that make Barolo a powerful, elegant and charismatic wine.
75 cl, 14,5% Vol.
Brilliant, deep garnet red colour with slight orange reflections, Its bouquet is ample and complex, with notes of violet and pleasant hints of cinnamon, clove, vanilla and cherry. The flavour is rich, harmonious and slightly dry, and gives way to a long lasting aftertaste where floral and liquorice tones predominate.
Ideally paired with meat, game as wild boar and with intensely flavoured dishes based on mature and spicy cheeses.
Serve at 17°C.
La Morra (Cuneo), Italy.

100% Nebbiolo grapes from 26 (average) year old vines.
Strictly manual harvest with selection of the best grapes.
To allow for a prolonged contact of the must with the skins, the fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Maturation is then carried out for 12 months in French oak barrels, 50% new and 50% one year old. The wine is then transferred into 25 hectolitres Slavonian oak barrels where it is aged for 12 months, followed by another 12 months of bottle ageing.
