Trebbiano d’Abruzzo 2023 Organic White Wine
€12.50
This wine originates from one of the most suitable areas of Abruzzo for growing wine, from an over thirty-years-old vine in the Abruzzo pergola training system, at an ideal altitude to ensure a formidable thermal excursion and with a magnificent exposure.
75 cl, 12% Vol.
Crystalline straw yellow with fascinating golden reflections. Delicate aromas of white flowers, yellow pulp fruit, citrus fruits, cedar and apple. On the palate, a moderately warm and soft structure, enlivened by an acidic freshness and a recalcitrant flavor. A long persistence with salty notes, harmonized with the aromas perceived by smell.
Perfect with aperitifs, starters, seafood, vegetarian dishes, white meats and fresh or medium-aged cheeses. Excellent with seafood, red snapper with saffron, pumpkin risotto, grilled cockerel with vegetables or fresh ricotta with cherry tomatoes.
Serve at 9°C.
Controguerra – Teramo, Italy.
Clay soil with sandy veins at approx. 290m. AMSL.
100% Trebbiano d’Abruzzo grapes from 35 (average) year old vines.
Strictly manual harvest with selection of the best grapes.
The bunches are harvested from 5 to 15 October in the ancient Martinsicuro vineyard with optimal exposure and medium-low yield. The terroir guarantees these grapes daily temperature variations which emphasize the typical aromas of Trebbiano grapes.
Vinification takes place in conditioned concrete tanks, followed by a 3-month refinement in the same tanks, before bottling in the total absence of oxygen.
