On the palate, it confirms the pleasant notes of chocolate and coffee plus intense balsamic notes.A luminous ruby red with flavors of violets, ripe blackberries, berries, spices, pepper and coffee. The taste is full with smooth flavor, which recalls the nose.

Excellent wines are always welcomed. You can taste it both alone and in good company, best if combined with structured and tasty dishes. Appropriate also with aperitifs, starters, red meats, vegetarian dishes, and semi to long-seasoned cheeses.

Strictly manual harvest with selection of the best grapes.

The bunches are harvested from 20 to 30 October in the ancient Colonella and Controguerra vineyards with optimal exposure and low yield. The terroir guarantees these grapes daily temperature variations which emphasize the aromatic sensations typical of Montepulciano grapes.

A vinification in thermo-conditioned steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation, a maturation of 6 months in cement tanks, then 24 months in 50hl barrels, to be bottled in the total absence of oxygen and aged for another 6 months.
